Summer Solstice Retreat 2015

photoImage 4 Image 12 Image 29

I am excited to share with you this years retreat. Taking groups out on an adventure was always a long term dream, then last year I realised I had to start bringing those “in the distance” dreams into reality. The 2014 event was held on a beautiful organic farm in the Cotswolds. We had our own private woodland and our weekend home was four yurts. We relaxed by the camp fire, shared stories, meditated and took walks through the fields. I am so happy to say that this year we will be going back to this stunning venue to continue our adventures.

The venue website is www.theorganicfarmshop.co.uk

Why a retreat?

Being out for a period of time in nature, with no wi-fi, television or distractions or demands on your time is really healing. You get the chance to fully let go, deeply relax and allow your mind to clear. Being on a retreat takes you out of your everyday life and helps you see more clearly. You will have chance to reflect, chance to empty and you will get the chance to re-discover that playful self that got lost along the way.

Nature is our greatest healer…

We will be meditating at different times throughout the weekend and I will sharing wisdom teachings about our sacred connection to nature and the earth. At last years event the elemental spirits and guardians of the woods came through to everyone really clearly – as we honoured their home, they opened up more and more to show us their world and shared with us their beautiful healing energies. This retreat has been planned after a call from them to return over the Summer Solstice and share this powerful gateway with them.
Words cannot relay the love and support that these earth guardians share – I feel so blessed to deliver a group into this sacred woodland to connect for themselves.

Letting go of the old and creating a fresh start…

This weekend will be transformational – whatever you have been going through, it will be a complete reset for you. It will be a time to cleanse your mind, heart and soul. The group energy work will connect you to your light and to nature in a whole new way. You will be able to let go of the old and step energetically into more of your true self. Be prepared to make new friends, laugh lots and allow your heart to open and expand.

What to expect…

Meditations and energy work as a group over the Summer Solstice weekend.
Guided walks around the farm.
Time out to rest and have quiet reflective time out.
Lots of conversations with like-minded friends about living a connected life – spiritual connection, body connection and heart connection.
As adults we can lose our sense of fun and joy. My intention for this retreat is for all of us to have lots of laughs and connect back in with that playful self – that self that maybe has been forgotten for far to long.

Thoughts from the 2014 retreat…

It was a wonderful three days of discovery, growth and fun. The group energy was amazing, spending time in nature and being one with the elements lifted the spirit. The teaching and meditations by Debbie helped us all to find deep inner peace. I didn’t want the retreat to end – and can’t wait for the next one.
HW – Milton Keynes

Debbie is such a peaceful, tranquil soul that it’s impossible to feel anything but calm in her presence. She led meditations and discussions with deep connection and grace, and taught me to appreciate nature on a new level. Debbie made the weekend retreat truly special and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking spiritual guidance.
AK – St Albans

Who is this retreat for…

This retreat is ideal for anyone (men & women) ready for an adventure – who wants to connect to life in a new expanded way.

We are staying at an eco yurt camp – this means it is geared towards minimal impact on the environment. If you are happy with a basic campsite, no hair straighteners and also woodland compost loos – you will love the weekend. This retreat is about really getting away, deeply relaxing, having time to breathe, hear yourself and rediscover your joy.

New Website – New Start & Nearly a New Year

Hi lovelies

I’m so excited to share my new website with you. In the last month I’ve had to dig deep and get really clear about how I want to live, work and share in the future. It’s something we all have to do at different times – stand back, take stock and honour the call from within. We then need to take action and re-create our lives from these new intentions.

This can be hard, as our fears want to keep us safe and urge us to make the “sensible” choice (or make no choice at all).

The problem is that we can only operate like this for so long – then the call from within our hearts starts to get louder. Our passions, creative needs and deepest desires rise to the surface and will do anything to make themselves heard. Very often because we resist the natural flow of energy that our soul needs to express, we will suffer illness or feel high levels of stress. It’s usually only then we will stop and listen.

Over the last few weeks I’ve had to jump right into the middle of all my darkest, most hidden corners. Yes, it did involve a few sleepless nights, many tears and an excess of chocolate digestives BUT I’m now out the other side. Feeling more energised, more excited and more open to whatever adventures 2015 will bring.

I wish this for you too. So as we charge into the Christmas holidays and the last few weeks of the year I wanted to share with you the things I do to raise my energy vibration and bring myself back into balance. These things will help you ground your energy and help you reconnect to the peace within.

The holidays are a time of great celebration but they can also trigger old wounds and create a lot of stress. During this time we can feel a strong need to make changes in our lives. These supports will plug you into your inner wisdom and bring forward a flow of healing energy.

Feeling good is not solely generated by outside influences, in fact if you rely on others or things going well to create your happiness you will continually be battered by disappointment and feel let down by life.

Feeling good is a decision that comes from within. When you decide to take responsibility for your life, you change your energy and will want to seek out things that will keep you connected and inspired.

1 – Meditation

Honestly you don’t need to go and sit in a cave in the Himalayas for 3 years to understand and benefit from meditation. Just find a quiet place where you can sit in silence and gently focus on your breath. Meditation isn’t something you “do” or “achieve” it is more about letting go and just being empty. This feeling of emptiness can scare people as they struggle to identify themselves in it -but that’s the key – to let the mind chatter talk itself out until you are left with just a beautiful stillness. You will feel calm, recharged and clear even after a short time reflecting within.

2 – Journaling

Writing in a journal is one of my favorite ways to ground, focus and understand life. It’s a wonderful outlet to express ourselves and bring forward words and ideas that may not flow in other settings. It gives you freedom to explore your thoughts and craft new positive solutions.

3 – Gratitude

Being thankful is a super quick way to change the energy of any situation. As you place yourself in gratitude you come into the now moment and release tension/resistance. No matter what is happening in your day, a few seconds of mindful reflection will open your heart and release tension.

 4 – Setting intentions

Each thought, word and action is creative. When you set intentions, you send forward a powerful stream of energy to manifest your desires. For me it’s one of the most important parts of my day – to take some quiet time and listen within. As I set my intentions for the day (week or year) I know with all my heart that they will be delivered. It is important to have faith and trust in your abilities to manifest. As we head into the New Year, take some time to write out a wish list for 2015. It will make you feel so good and it may even inspire some new ideas.
Living with intention helps you feel less like a victim of your life and more of a conscious creator.

5 – Getting outside in nature

Being out in nature is the number one way to plug in, recharge, ground and clear your head (and heart). We are of the earth and are created by the same life-force energy that creates our world. As your feet touch the ground you subconsciously exchange energy with her. Next time you go out, walk in silence and listen. Ask for healing and be prepared to follow her guidance. You will be surprised by how direct and powerfully she will speak to you.
Trees have a beautifully grounding and healing aura – stand near a tree and acknowledge its consciousness. Allow a connection and see what happens.
Try it this holiday, go out into the woods and be prepared to receive openheartedly from nature. Its beauty, grace, wisdom and conscious awareness will astound you.

I hope you love my website as much as I’ve loved creating it. It really does feel like a new start in every way. I will be sharing my journey, my wisdom and my cosmic adventures with you through my blog every week. I have learned so much from hearing about other people’s journeys and how they have moved through their experiences and lessons. This is something I want to do for you.

We are all in this together and sharing makes the path so much easier.

Let’s inspire each other and all have a rockin year ahead!

I have lots of new workshops and events planned for 2015. All my workshops and Reiki Attunements are ongoing throughout the year, so if you can’t make a certain date get in touch and we can book another time in for you.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas/New Year and see you in 2015

Let’s make it a year to remember – full of deep open-hearted connections, fearless honestly and joy filled creative living.

If that seems a bit out of reach at the moment for you – maybe we should talk!!

I have been reflecting on how wonderful 2013 has been. Each year the lead up to January 1st is a powerful time of deep inner work, intention setting and listening. Lots of silence, gratitude and returning to balance.

All that is within reflects and manifests as your life experience. I am intending to step into 2014 full of Love, Grace and Joyful Creative Expression. Wishing you all a wonderful transition through into the New Year.

Crystal Healing | Shiva Lingam

The energy of The Goddess of the Shiva has been coming through in my meditations and in my workshops for a few months. I was guided a physical Shiva Lingam Stone would come into my life to ground this energy in the physical realm. She called loudly one day and I found her in Florida USA via Ebay (how cosmic!!!!!!) Her arrival has been powerful and deeply heart opening. These photos were taken while cleansing her in Himalayan pink salt water, at Avebury Stone Circle and at Uffington White Horse in Wiltshire.

Tree Wisdom | Connecting to the Energy of Life

Yesterday I took a long walk in the woods, it was in silent meditation connecting to the web of life. As my mind fell quiet I started to feel the life of the forest, the buzz of energy flowing between each tree and plant. I asked to remember more and as I opened my heart a great wave of healing and teaching flowed into me. I was shown that as I touched each leaf it responded, as I touched the Earth and sent love it gave back a gentle loving response.

Later I sat under a great beech tree (the Grandfather of the woods) his spirit filling my heart. His message was direct and clear – help people remember. Help them remember that we are all connected, that we all feel and we all can be hurt. Just as you feel pain, so do we. Help them feel the energy of life, feel the interaction between all living beings and feel their heart. Only then will people love, respect and protect their natural world, the home we all share.

Crystal Healing | Smokey Quartz

This sparkling Smokey Quartz had spent years on a shelf hidden away, dull and dusty it was put out in the garden for 3 Moon cycles – lots of Sunlight, Moonlight, Wind, Rain & Loving intentions. Look at it now! It has Rainbows!
Smokey Quartz is the stone of release and grounding. It’s a cosmic vacuum cleaner that draws out negativity, pain and fear from the body. Amazing to use for post-natal healing, if you are recovering from surgery, to ease tension and bring grounded change into your life.

Beautiful Beings – Debbie Jordan-Mills

Happy Friday everyone! I am really excited to introduce such a beautiful soul, Debbie Jordan-Mills. I connected with Debbie about 8 months ago..  she holds wonderful meditation groups that I go to regularly, combining crystals, angel meditation’s and connecting with your spirit guides.

Connecting with Debbie has been so helpful to me on my spiritual journey which is forever growing and learning.  She has really reminded me of the importance of  getting in touch with my soul purpose and my self-love.

I am very grateful for Debbie and the shining light she brings!

Where do you live in this wonderful world at the moment?

I live in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK.

What do you do for “work”?

I am a Usui Reiki Master, ACHO Crystal Healer and writer. I run workshops, give healing sessions and offer coaching for life transformation/self empowerment. My work is my passion as it is the result of wanting to share my experiences of spiritual awakening and helping others open up to the adventure of living a conscious, connected soul-led life.

Tell us a little about your beautiful unique self:

I am a country girl at heart who grew up in the Wiltshire countryside surrounded by horses, dogs and endless summers of den making, galloping and tree climbing. Now after years of being on the corporate ladder and rushing through life I find myself heading back to a simpler more connected way of living.

I had a powerful spiritual awakening in 2000 when pregnant with my Daughter, I was visited by an Angel. The experience changed the way I saw the world and my life forever.

I am happiest connecting with people (through teaching, coaching and writing) and sharing wisdom.

What are your unique talents & gifts?

I want to share with people wisdom about life mastery, energy management and self-empowerment in a down-to-earth, simple way that they can relate to. My aim is to help them connect back with their soul, their inner wisdom and their natural connection to the earth. This all adds up to a life of more love, more joy and more exciting awakening experiences.

What does being healthy mean to you?

It means doing the best I can each day to nourish my body and give it the best chance of health through my choices. I can have great week juicing, eating fresh fruits and healthy meals then find by the weekend I can’t get my head out of the biscuit tin!

I have learned to be gentle with myself, release guilt/blame and listen to what my body needs. Through my work I understand the link between food and emotions – so kindness to self plays a big part in making positive healthy food choices each day.

What makes you feel alive?

I feel fully alive each day because I took the leap, the leap to work for myself, to leave a relationship that had served it’s time, to follow my dreams, to live a conscious spiritual life that has become a wonderful adventure. To feel alive you need to feel free and freedom only comes from being totally honest with yourself. The last few years have been challenging, amazing, magical and unexpected. I have learned to trust my inner wisdom, expect miracles and see the blessings and gifts in each moment. Aliveness comes from listening to your heart, acting on your creative ideas, playing with life and not taking it too seriously. I think all of these should be taught in school – imagine a world where all the children grew up feeling alive, inspired, connected and wanting to bring their heart-felt dreams into reality!

What breakfast gets you off to a flying start?

Every morning I make a delicious ‘superfood’ smoothie. I soak organic almonds overnight then whizz them up in a blender with coconut water to make my version of almond milk. Then I add 1 teaspoon of maca, chia seeds, coconut oil and bee pollen and 2 teaspoons of raw cacao powder. I then add a mixture of a chopped banana with berries (blueberries, strawberries and/or raspberries) this is then all whizzed up in the blender.

The result is a fantastic chocolate/banana super smoothie that tastes like a naughty treat but is actually really good for you. After a year of making these I still get excited every morning about having chocolate for breakfast!!!

What would be your perfect day?

My perfect day would involve walking in the countryside, being out in nature, connecting with friends, talking with inspiring, positive people, eating good food, laughing, having an adventure, crystal shopping, meditating, log fires (Winter), hot sunny days (Summer), being around dogs, cats, horses and visiting some vintage/antique shops along the way.

Any of the above in any variation would be more than perfect!

What top 3 foods that make you feel vibrant?

1 Green juice – Beetroot, kale, spinach, carrot, apple, ginger and lemon.

2 Water – I know it’s a drink but it makes me feel really good. I know how bad I feel if I don’t drink enough or go back to coffee.

3 Lemon – Great in hot water, squeezed over salad or added to juices. It is refreshing, cleansing and tasty.

What’s your favourite nourishing recipe to share with us?

A simple mixed salad – green leaves, baby spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, blueberries, hemp oil, apple cider vinegar, pink Himalayan salt, pepper.

What are your top tips for happiness, health & balance?

Be kind to yourself, allow yourself quiet reflective time, get outside into nature, let go of the past, blame only hurts you, expect amazing, don’t settle for a poor version of anything, the answer is always within.

I have found that a good sleep, drinking water, meditation and eating natural unprocessed foods are the answer to almost everything!

Do you have a favourite quote or mantra?

I REMEMBER – I use this mantra to unlock the wisdom within my DNA, to remember why I am here and what I have come to do. I say this over and over out in nature to remember my connection to the earth and the web of life. I use it to connect with my souls mindstream through time, to awaken the wisdom of all my lives and to embody it in the present. I say it quietly when holding a crystal, to open up to our oneness and feel the unique patterns of energy we create. I use it to connect with my heart, my soul and the oneness of all life.

What message do you want to share?

You are a soul experiencing life through a body. You are eternally wise, very powerful and in control of your life in ways you may not believe. To open up to remembering who you really are is the most exciting journey a person can take. It takes courage, trust and the willingness to be totally lost before you can be found. If you are in a life that doesn’t fit you any more, listen to your inner calling, maybe its time to trust your heart and soul and decide you deserve more.

What is the most influential thing you learnt on this beautiful journey called life so far?

I have leaned to listen, to trust my inner guidance as it is always leading me to the right experiences for my highest growth. When I listen within I get clarity, feel confident and are connected to my hearts wisdom. Listening and trusting what you receive is one of the most powerful ways you can change your life.

Where can we find you?

Little Tibet Trek 2012

As I write this blog I am in the middle of an intensive training program to get fit for a charity trek I will be undertaking this August. It has been a challenge to put in the hours of fitness training needed but it’s also an exciting journey to see myself push past the resistances and get active (my sofa and biscuits seemed far more attractive than stomping through muddy fields for hours!). I am happy to say I now love the long hours of walking, yoga classes and gym miles. (more…)

inspiring the wisdom within
